Calendar Photo Competition

Last year I launched the first Shared Threads calendar. I was so lucky to have beautiful photography from local photographers (Rachel at Rachel McCulla Photo, Janine at Janine Boyd Life Documented and  Ruth at Native Ivy) mostly taken at our events and gatherings and also calligraphy beautifully hand painted by Janice @gatheredthreads. The sales from the 2020 calendar helped us  financially to get hundreds of period packs made and sent to women worldwide.

I am so excited about the 2021 calendar and I would love a photo taken by you to be featured in it.  Shared Threads is a collective, a beautiful community of makers, of supporters, of patrons, of compassionate and creative souls and I'd love you to help me to tell the story of Shared Threads and how we work together to bring opportunity and dignity to women.  Here are the suggested themes for your photograph:

hands at work

threads

tea / coffee together

women gathering

cloth

It is free to enter. All you need to do is submit your photo to Kirsty at

kirstyking@sharedthreads.co.uk and fill in your email address here to stay connected.

Please share your photo on social media if you can and tag @shared__threads and use the hashtag #sharedthreadscollective so that I can share the entries coming in.

The deadline for submitting your photo is 30th September.

Check out my Pinterest page for some photo inspiration.

I will judge the photo with my wee team and announce the winner in October and that photo will be in our 2021 calendar! You will also receive a free copy of the new calendar.

Good luck. Can't wait to see your photos.

Also, please get in touch if you would be interested in sponsoring a page of the calendar. Last year, each month was generously sponsored by these local businesses.
